2009

In 2009 we traveled together with granny and granddad.

We flew to Nairobi, with KLM from Schiphol. After a few days in Garden Hotel we traveled to Kilifi by Personal Matatu.

We enjoyed the beachhouse a lot and Kilifi for 1 month, we returned to Machakos by train. Altho the train had a delay of 12 hours, that was a nice co-incidence for we travelled in daylight and thus had a nice safari ! The train track runs through Tsavo and we saw a lot of animals.

We ended the Africa visit for granny (when she was young she lived in Congo and she’s just as myself, always ‘homesick’ when in Belgium) with a few more days in Machakos. Now we had the Machakos Golf club as base, which was very nice.
